HER TIPS TO STAY HEALTHY AS WE RING IN THE NEW YEAR:

#1 – Drink lots of water to stay hydrated during the drier winter months and to counterbalance those holiday party cocktails. I own an absurd number of water bottles and keep one with me at all times. I have one at my office, one in my car, one in my gym bag, one on my night stand at home, and always travel with one. Having constant access to water will remind you to hydrate. And there are so many fun water bottle designs out there now, it can also be a cute accessory or gift. My favorite brands are S’well and bkr.

#2 – Start your day with a healthy smoothie. Every day for breakfast I have a smoothie with almond milk, vegan protein powder, blueberries, raspberries and spinach. So, even if I end up over-indulging in holiday party treats later in the day, I know I started the day off right with some protein, fruit and veggies.

#3 - Have a social yet healthy lifestyle during the holidays by doing something active with friends and family instead of the usual get together over food and drink. When I visit family, we spend time together by checking out a new yoga class, going for a hike or skiing. I also love scheduling dates with my girlfriends that are centered around a barre, yoga or SoulCycle class and followed by a healthy brunch.
